Hi! Welcome to my map portfolio! I have very minimal experience with coding, data analysis, and spatial data, but I'm very thankful for the chance to learn how to apply these skills ethically to benefit civil society, empower our communities, and uplift voices in Asian American Studies 191A (Spring 2021).

My goals as a critical map maker:

1. Use mapmaking to challenge the disempowerment of communities that has long been baked into societal systems and governance by mapping and institutional data
2. Challenge the supposed objectivity and colonial gaze engrained in the traditional understanding of maps
3. Collect, analyze, and visualize data ethically
